Is Artistek free?
Free to use. No monthly subscription is required at this time for basic account creation. A small processing fee applies only when payment runs through the platform. As Artistek grows, we may introduce paid subscriptions, premium tools, or account tiers. Current free access does not guarantee that Artistek will remain free forever.
Will Artistek add subscriptions?
Possibly. Artistek may introduce monthly or annual subscription plans in the future for certain professional tools or account types. If subscriptions are introduced, pricing and terms will be disclosed before purchase.
Will I be charged automatically later?
No. Artistek will not charge you for a future subscription unless you choose a paid plan and authorize payment. Current free access may change in the future, but paid subscriptions require a clear purchase step.

How does the processing fee work?
A 5% processing fee applies when a booking is paid through the platform. It is calculated as a percentage of the agreed artist fee and collected when payment is processed. Every booking shows its full fee breakdown in the payment step and in the booking contract before anyone commits.
How does pricing work for Promoters?
Promoter profiles are free during launch, same as every other profile type. When a promoter books an artist for their event, the 5% processing fee applies. Event planning, venue partnership, and production tools are currently included at no additional cost. Paid plans and premium tools may be introduced in the future.
What payment methods are accepted?
Venues and promoters can pay by credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) or by ACH bank transfer from a US bank account. Both cost you the same, the processing fee is a flat percentage either way, and Artistek absorbs the underlying card or bank charges.
When is the fee charged?
Only when money actually moves. The fee applies when a booking is completed, meaning the event has taken place and payment is released from escrow. Nothing is charged for creating a profile, browsing, inquiries, negotiations, or cancelled bookings.
How does escrow work?
When a booking is confirmed, the booking party (venue or promoter) pays upfront. Funds are held securely in escrow until after the event, then automatically released to the artist (and split among band members if applicable). This protects both sides.
Can I pay artists directly to avoid the processing fee?
No. Paying artists outside of Artistek is a direct violation of our Terms of Service and is treated as a serious policy breach. Offboarding payments forfeit all platform protections, no escrow, no contract coverage, no dispute resolution. Venues or promoters found to be circumventing the platform are subject to immediate profile suspension and permanent removal.
